Three-day Supervision Training 23rd , 24th and 25th October 2020
This supervision training workshop will be delivered in Glasgow
by Alison Evans from the Centre for Mindfulness research and Practice ( CMRP Bangor University) & the Mindfulness Network.
https://www.mindfulness-network.org/
Our non-residential course will be taught experientially, engaging in a process of mindful exploration and inquiry and deepening practice as supervisors. We will explore the underlying foundations of mindfulness from which come the principles, tasks and functions of supervision from a mindfulness perspective. We will introduce a Mindfulness Supervision Model which includes a supervisory inquiry process. Discussion and skills practice will focus on how this can be applied in supervision across a spectrum of mindfulness-based approaches, including the supervision of students, teachers, those working one to one, and in groups and organisations.
Training pre-requisites

• have experience and training in the use of the mindfulness inquiry process
• have participated in a Level One Teacher Training Retreat or Course – or an equivalent training programme

• Ideally have participated in a Level 2 Teacher Training Retreat

Deepening Practice Retreat for Health Professionals
10-15th September 2020,Holy Isle Centre for World Peace and Health, Isle of Arran KA27 8GB.
With Dr Margaret Kerr.
.
Mindfulness Scotland will run a five-day retreat at Holy Isle in September 2020 In this retreat, we will return to the foundation of our mindfulness practice, the Mindfulness Scotland Eight Week Course (containing the core practices of MBCT and MBSR)
Working through the elements of the course in sequence as practitioners will give us a chance to deepen our practice and refresh our teaching. We will explore how an experience of ‘Beginners Mind’ can be present in the most familiar of practices. Through teachings integrated with indoor and outdoor meditation, we will also make links with the four foundations of mindfulness taught by the Buddha: mindfulness of Body, Emotion, States of Mind and Thought.
Retreat information
This retreat is open primarily to those who have completed the Mindfulness Scotland Training programme. We also welcome applications from those who have completed equivalent training and will offer places as space allows. The retreat is particularly suited to people who are currently teaching or planning to teach eight-week programmes or integrating Mindfulness into their professional work.
This will enable us to build on learning from the 2019 retreat, and for those who were not able to attend last time to encounter these teachings in a fresh context.
The main body of the retreat will be in silence, allowing us to settle deeply into the practices. However there will be time to connect with each other on the first and last days when we will not be observing silence.
. This retreat will enable Mindfulness Teachers to fulfil the CPD requirement to attend an annual mindfulness retreat
