Each 90 minute session will be delivered by Zoom. We will encourage you to practice your new skills between sessions and will support this with a course booklet and audio recordings. It's best to attend as much of the course as you can. This allows you to build on your new skills and fully benefit from developing your understanding of the practices.

Using the metaphor of a mountain, we will explore how developing a mindful approach to stress can help us remain steady and grounded in challenging situations:

Base camp: Some of the key components of resilience and how mindfulness can help
Preparing for the journey: Settling the mind and placing attention
Map of the territory: Our body as a map of our current experience
Experiencing the weather: Acknowledging and working with our emotions
Supplies for the walk: self care, kindness and connection
View from the summit: Perception, perspective and staying steady

About the Course

The course will be delivered by Stephanie Wilson and Karen Glass from Mindfulness Scotland. Our hope is to share some aspects of Mindfulness practice which we have found to be of immense personal benefit, and which are supported by growing research based evidence.
